Hyatt Regency Seattle is part of my real stay history, but this page represents a much longer period of living in the city. The hotel is therefore presented as one polished downtown stay within a broader story of workdays, Capitol Hill routines, Pike Place walks, baseball nights, weather, and weekend escapes.
How this stay fits the story
The hotel did not define Seattle for me. It offered a different city experience from the residential rhythm that had already become familiar, which is useful context for readers deciding between a central hotel and a neighborhood-style base.

Mount Rainier above the snowfields
This is the strongest moving landscape in the upload. The camera crosses rock, snowfields, mountain walls, and distant ridges while a traveller moves through the foreground. It gives the Rainier chapter scale, motion, and the feeling of being physically present above the tree line.

01 · A CITY I LIVED IN
Seattle was a work-and-life chapter before it was a travel guide.
The Spheres, downtown towers, flowering street tree, and Space Needle view carry four different sides of the same city. Together they show ambition, routine, changing seasons, and the polished skyline without repeating one Amazon or downtown photograph across several nearly identical stories.
A shared restaurant meal recorded the everyday food memories between larger plans.The birthday photograph keeps the page grounded in the life that happened between trips.
02 · ORDINARY LIFE BETWEEN PLANS
Food, an indoor gathering, and a birthday made the city personal.
The restaurant plate, bright indoor space, and birthday cake are deliberately quieter than the skyline photographs. They are valuable because Seattle was not only a sequence of attractions. It was also meals, gatherings, celebrations, and the ordinary moments that accumulated around work and city life.
Leavenworth looked especially atmospheric beneath snow, lights, and low winter cloud.
03 · LEAVENWORTH IN WINTER
One snowy street established the entire alpine-village mood.
The Bavarian-style facades, holiday lights, snow, and misty mountain slope already form a complete still-image chapter. The two Leavenworth videos add movement and nighttime colour, so this photograph does not need to be reused in a separate snow story.

04 · MOUNT RAINIER IN CLEAR WEATHER
Trail, portrait, park pass, and interpretation built a full mountain day.
The trail view and seated portrait show the mountain itself, while the park receipt and Chain of Volcanoes panel add practical and geological context. Keeping these images together turns Rainier into a complete experience rather than another paragraph describing how large the peak looked.
Snow, dark water, and low cloud created a quieter winter portrait.The river carried the colder and more remote side of the Washington winter chapter.A closer winter portrait preserved the river, snowbanks, and steep valley walls.The almost-symmetrical reflection created one of the calmest frames in the album.The roadside view preserved the transition through winter forest and water.Fog and dark water closed the winter chapter with a soft monochrome mood.
05 · WINTER WATER & ROADS
Rivers, lakes, fog, and snow slowed the Washington chapter down.
These photographs share a winter palette but not the same purpose. Two personal portraits keep human scale beside the river, while the remaining frames focus on moving water, roadside snow, reflections, and low cloud. The sequence feels calm because each image advances the atmosphere instead of repeating one generic snowy-view description.
The snowman added a playful pause to the otherwise quiet winter landscape.
06 · A PLAYFUL SNOW DAY
The snowman gave the winter album one intentionally light moment.
A handmade snowman among tall evergreens is simple, humorous, and visually different from every mountain or river photograph. Giving it a short standalone chapter preserves the spontaneous side of winter without forcing it into the Leavenworth or Rainier stories.
